If you are already in the UK, FCDO Apostille (£30, 2 days) is cheaper. If you are in Thailand, UK Embassy Bangkok legalization is faster — no shipping needed.

Does Thailand's Apostille (since Dec 2024) replace MFA legalization?

Yes — for Hague-member receiving countries like the UK, a Thai-issued Apostille is now accepted directly. MFA legalization is the legacy path; Apostille is the new single-step.

Do UK Spouse visa documents need to be translated?

Yes. UKVI requires certified English translations of all non-English documents, including the translator's statement of competency, name, signature and date.

Can you handle the FCDO Apostille on my behalf in London?

Thailand does not have the same Notary Public office that the United States, United Kingdom or Australia uses. Privacy & data protection

All client files are stored under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). Passport scans, marriage certificates, financial affidavits and corporate records are retained only as required by attorney record-keeping rules and destroyed thereafter.

2. Translation & review — if Thai ↔ English translation is needed, our translator prepares the certified version and pairs it with the original. You receive a PDF proof to approve before notarisation.
3. Notarial Services Attorney certification — an NSA signs and seals the signature, true copy or affidavit at our office in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Most files are signed the same day they arrive.

Frequently asked questions from foreigners

Is a Thai Notarial Services Attorney the same as a US Notary Public?: Functionally yes — the NSA performs the same civil-law notarial acts (witnessing signatures, certifying true copies, administering oaths and notarising translations). The legal basis is different: the NSA is a licensed attorney regulated by the Lawyers Council of Thailand, whereas a US Notary is a state- appointed officer. For cross-border use both routes go through MFA / embassy legalisation.
Can you handle documents while I am still overseas?: Yes. We accept scans by email or secure upload, prepare drafts in English, take payment by international bank transfer, Wise, PayPal or credit card, and ship originals back via DHL to any country. Power of attorney work is the most common remote engagement.
Do I need to come to Prachuap Khiri Khan in person?: Only when a wet signature or witnessed identity is required by the destination country (for example a US I-864 affidavit or a UK statutory declaration). For copy certifications, MFA legalisation and most translations we work entirely remotely.
Does Thailand issue Apostilles?: Yes. Thailand acceded to the Hague Apostille Convention in 2024, and MFA Chaengwattana issues Apostilles for documents bound for member states such as the UK, Australia, Germany, Japan and the Netherlands.
